- Protein Modeling Scholarship
| The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) provides a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 per year for 4 years) to any student who has participated in the National Science Olympiad Protein Modeling Competition at any point during their high school career. The members of the National Championship team of the Science Olympiad Protein Modeling Event will be awarded an additional $36,000 ($9,000 per year for 4 years). The term "Science Olympiad" is used with permission. Click here to view the letter granting the National organization permission for its use.
In compliance with an agreement with the USOC, no clothing, flags or other items displaying the old five-hexagon logo will be permitted at any Science Olympiad tournament or ceremony.
Inappropriate dress or conduct will be cause for a member or members of a team or the whole team to be disqualified from participation in events or ceremonies sponsored by the Science Olympiad.
No inflatable items of any kind (ball, animal, reptile, etc.) will be allowed at any ceremony or function sponsored by the Science Olympiad.
Items at the Swap Meet are to be traded with no money involved. Any violation will terminate that team from participation in the tournament.

What Is New York State Science Olympiad?
| New York State Science Olympiad (NYSSO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of science education in grades 5-12, increasing male, female and minority interest in science, creating a technologically literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science and technology. These goals are achieved by providing opportunities for teams of students to participate in 22 regional and state Science Olympiad tournaments across New York State. Information from articles and studies that have measured the impact of Science Olympiad on students may be seen here. NYSSO also promotes the inclusion of Science Olympiad activities in classroom curricula and provides teacher training at seminars and an annual coaches workshop. |
