C-Division State Competition
T-Shirt Contest |

| There will be a T-Shirt Contest at this year's State Competition at West Point. One team will be recognized for having the "best" t-shirt.
T-Shirts should be graphically interesting. They should be Science Olympiad specific (rather than being a generic school T-shirt). They should be intellectually clever and meaningful to the team, and any team member should be able to explain the shirts. Bonus points will be given if they are individualized for the team members. Shirts must be worn by the entire team. If your team would like to be part of this competition, then please email a picture of the front and back of your t-shirt (like the picture seen below) to Mrs. Kasten by March 13th. Please make sure the picture is in jpeg format and adjust the resolution so it is "best for web or e-mail (file size no larger than 1 MB), with the name of the team in the subject line (ie: subject line should be Team XYZ Shirt - C Division, where you substitute your school name for XYZ).
Room Decorating Contest There will also be a Room Decorating contest. Teams are encouraged to decorate the room they have been assigned as home base. Rooms should have a meaningful, coordinated themed appearance. The theme does not have to be Science Olympiad related. The welcome should not stop at the door, but be such that it invites people into the room and extends throughout the room. Any team member should be able to explain the theme and meaning of the room. Non-damaging materials must be used to decorate the room, so that no holes are made in walls, no damage is done to tables, posters, or anything else in the room. .
