| Horseheads Middle School 950 Sing Sing Road Horseheads, NY 14845 Dear Science Olympiad Coach, The Horseheads Middle School Science Olympiad Team would like to invite you to the 1st annual Division B Horseheads Invitational, Saturday January 30th 2010. Last year we attended the invitational at Ravena and it was wonderful. This year we decided to hold an additional invitational in the Southern Tier region so perhaps more teams from the state would have an opportunity to attend an invitational. This is a great chance to motivate your students as they start to lose steam before regionals, and added practice is also very beneficial. We are asking that each participating team bring supplies, tests etc. to run at least one event. The more teams that we get to participate the more events we will be able to run. Horseheads will run Experimental Design, Disease Detectives, Bridge, Trajectory, Pentathalon, Car of Tomorrow and Wright stuff for certain. Please sign up on the registration form for the events you would be willing to run. We will try to honor your first choice wherever possible. We hope to have a very positive experience on our first try with an invitational. We are basing the tournament on what Ravena did last year as it was done so well.
